A little about Troncones

Troncones, Guerrero is a small coastal village, ideally located on the Pacific coast of tropical south-west Mexico. This land that time forgot is serviced by the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo the International Airport (ZIH) about 40 minutes away. This charming, quaint village boasts full time residency of only about 600, a number that doubles comfortably during the “high" season which runs informally from October through May. The local economy thrives through unobtrusive tourism, also through a core of working fishermen, ranchers and farmers who provide a cornucopia of fresh produce as well fresh wild caught catch from the sea. The walkable beaches of Troncones are never, but never crowded.

Troncones has a vast array of welcoming family run restaurants that collectively cater to a variety of palates. Of course Mexican specialties abound but as you explore the main street and beyond you will discover an Argentinian steak house, an Italian deli, a phenomenal bakery that provides daily delectables, amazing pizzas and BBQ ribs to die for and more. Many venues have live music nights during the "high" season.

Troncones is famous too for the many activities it affords. World class surfing, boogie boarding, hiking, horseback riding (on the beach should you so choose), bird watching in an extensive estuary via canoe, mountain biking and of course our favorite past time...relaxing.

Over the last decades, Troncones has built a culture of great diversity, one that supports a robust recycling program, higher education for it’s youth, excellent care for stray animals and more. If you’re looking for a place on the planet where the world can fall away, a paradise in which you and yours can be restored and rejuvenated, or just looking for a place to chill in the safety and comfort of nature’s embrace... come see us!
